Hello to the friends I cannot see,
You know that feeling when things come together better than you expected. That is Today!!! Two kiln loads of pots (one electric–one gas) and both gave me giggles, smiles, and thanksgiving and a loud “Oh Yeah”. I will post pictures tomorrow if I can get ahold of my picture taking gal. Turquoise, soft buttery yellows, one red, and my ultimate fav—a soft white with the brown iron dots showing through. Shapes that only my twisted mind can conceive. I had not worked in the studio much this summer so It is good that now I have new work for the upcoming fall festivals.
I mowed the yard one last (I hope) time yesterday which has nothing to do with clay and pottery. Just threw that in. Weather man just said 35 degrees next week.
JW finally got her last piece of pottery from a summer workshop. She did a great job with color on her picture frame and added a lot of texture. Wonder who’s picture she will put in that frame first.
I appreciate all of you that take time to read my nonsense and give me your opinions. And those of you that purchase my work (that is what keeps me excited to keep playing in the mud) and those of you doing the workshops. I watched a pro potter today making perfect pots and thought “I will never get to that level”. But that is OK cause I am happy doing what I do. For sure no one can copy what I do. (smiley face here)
So—until we visit again or call me if you want first peek of what came out today———
